There are many cases where this word is used casually as a set phrase, but if we look into the meaning of "Seisho" again,

It is a greeting used to express joy at the other person's good health and happiness.

When you put on this obi titled "Seisho" and imagine meeting someone important to you, whether it be a relative, a friend you haven't seen in a long time, or someone who has helped you in the past, I believe it will be an opportunity to once again realize how irreplaceable (and finite) the time you spend with others is.

The time you can spend with someone is not infinite, and the older you get, the more you start to wonder, "When will I see them next?"

The obi is decorated with a pattern that conveys the meaning of "Seisho," which means thinking of the time when they were apart, rejoicing at their reunion, and hoping for the next time they meet.

Written by Yuzo Miyano

The artist is Miyano Yuzo, who has won numerous awards at the Traditional Kaga Yuzen Crafts Exhibition and the Kaga Yuzen New Works Competition.

Although he uses the classic theme of Kaga Yuzen, he is an artist who never ceases to attract people with his fresh designs.

This obi has the names of different makers written on the glue and the ground dye, which is common in Kaga Yuzen, so Miyano created the design, drew the outline, and then hand-painted the colors.

This design intentionally creates variation by breaking up a continuous pattern known as a "break."
"Breta Tatsuyu" features cranes, butterflies, and Chinese flowers.

As you know, cranes are a symbol of longevity, but butterflies also represent longevity.

In China, the word for butterfly is pronounced "bou," which is the same pronunciation as "bou," which means 80 years old, so the butterfly has also become a symbol of longevity.

Both cranes and butterflies are truly "Japanese" motifs that were actively used during the Heian period, when people began to prefer motifs that were familiar in everyday life.

Even Chinese flowers were originally introduced to Japan as Buddhist decorations, but they were simplified and incorporated into dyeing and weaving after the Japanese style was adopted during the Heian period.

Seisho

The simple pattern on a deep brownish yellow color conveys the wish for the health, longevity, and happiness of a loved one.

"Good morning," "Good morning," "It's nice weather," "It's really nice weather."
This is a scene from Ozu's film "Good Morning," but what may seem like a pointless exchange at first glance is filled with the characters' feelings for each other.

When I look at this obi, I think it embodies the cherished Japanese atmosphere.

The pearl tone processing penetrates into each and every fiber, repelling moisture like beads.
It is resistant to dirt and even if it does get dirty, it is easy to clean.
Unlike waterproof processing that applies a membrane, this processing does not lose the original texture, luster, and breathability of the fabric, maintaining the original comfort of the kimono.
It also has the effect of preventing mold growth, so if you process it at the beginning, you can save on maintenance costs later.

For kimono tailoring, we will ask for your measurements after payment so that we can keep a record of them (email or LINE).

If you already have a kimono that has been tailored to your size, please let us know the measurements below. If you are unsure how to measure, we will provide you with instructions, so don't worry.

When ordering your kimono, we will ask you for the following measurements:

1. Height 2. Sleeve length Spread your arms at a 45° angle, press your arms from the base of your neck (cervical point) to your shoulders, and measure from the point where your wrists are covered by your ankles.
The length may differ between the left and right sides, so please measure both sides.

Returns Policy

If the product is defective, dirty, or damaged, we will refund the full amount of the product price, shipping fee, and consumption tax.
