Kouka Senshoku, a workshop located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture
Yokouchi Kayoko and Yoshima Mitsuko are the two who create everything from plant dyeing to hand weaving.
We have written an article about our tour of the workshop on the official Kimono Kureha blog, so please take a look.
Mitsuyoshi Dyeing and Weaving's workshop is about a 40-minute drive from Okaya City, where our main store, Kimonoya Sonehara, is located.
Due to this special connection, we are able to hold order meetings on a regular basis.
Up until now, we have seen beautiful dyed and woven products being completed through dialogue between Mitsuyoshi Dyeing and Weaving and customers, and through our own involvement.

The customization begins with a large number of weaving samples.
A variety of weaves and colors that bring your image to life
The only way to convey the charm of Mitsuyoshi Dyeing and Weaving is to have people see the finished products, so we will introduce some items that customers have given us permission to post.
Thank you very much to the customer who gave us permission to post this.

This Nagoya obi sashiko sash features a beautiful sheen from the sashiko thread and a delicate weave. Dyes used are gardenia, astringent wood, and indigo.

This Nagoya obi is made with Yoshino weave (megane weave) and makes use of the color of the thread from tussah silkworm cocoons. The base color is gray Yoshino Mado, inspired by the image of matching it with the black and yellow Hachijo silk kimono that the customer owns.
Dyes used: Shibuki, indigo, cherry blossom

The elegant shades of cherry blossoms create a noshime pattern. The twill weave creates a fantastical beauty with large and small checkered patterns connected together. Dyed with wild cherry blossom branches from the neighboring town. Dyes used: cherry blossom and astringent wood.
The Noshime pattern is like this. This is also a twill kimono by Mitsuyoshi Dyeing and Weaving.

Both are wonderful items.
Custom-made product introductions will be added from time to time.
Custom-made items inevitably take some time to complete, but the artist dyeing and weaving the item just for you, and the feeling of excitement when the finished product arrives, are irreplaceable, and we feel joy every time we have the opportunity to do so.
